On Tuesday night I made the last speech on my Dynamic Leadership Path, it was the first Path I have completed so far. It took me from March 2019 until June 2021, I wish I had completed it more quickly, which I will do with the second Path I will complete, Engaging Humour. I have made progress since I have joined the Club, but, there is still so much more for me to learn. One of the main things I have learnt from the first Path is make sure that you are constantly checking the Projects that are ahead of you and making sure that you start working on things that may take a while. Thankfully, Toastmasters International now lets you jump around the programme, which is helpful. I’m pleased to have finished my first Path, I can see where I can improve in future Paths. When completing the first Path, I followed the Path in the order it was laid out, for the second Path I will jump about more to make sure that I can complete the quicker tasks as quickly as possible. I’m pleased I finished the Path, it involved about 17 speeches by the end. I was the first person in our Club to complete a Pathway.
I have taken part in Competitions, won some, lost some, got through to the next round. I am starting on my third Committee role, I have helped organise a corporate club, I am ticking off all the things you need to do to get a DTM. I seem to be of use to the club, which is good to know.
It will interesting for me to see where this goes.
